Women Build
What is Women Build?
Evergreen Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program provides opportunities for women to take proactive and tangible steps in helping to create affordable homeownership opportunities for women and their families in Clark County.
One of the many inequities that women face is in housing. Women disproportionately face economic insecurity, which in turn, directly undermines their ability to afford housing. This gender inequity is faced by women on a global, national, and even local level. Affordable housing is a women’s issue at its core.
Habitat’s Women Build program brings together women and their allies to raise funds to build homes and educate and empower women in construction, a largely male dominated space. Opportunities to get involved in Habitat’s Women Build program include serving on the Women Build Committee, supporting and/or planning events, raising funds, and working on our Habitat home construction sites through hands-on volunteer days.

Ways to Get Involved
Women Build Committee
The committee meets once a month on the fourth Wednesday of every month on zoom from 5pm-6pm. New committee members are always welcome! The committee consists of community-minded women who want to make a difference in Clark County. Throughout the year the committee raises funds to support home building projects in our community creating affordable homes for women and their families.
On Site Volunteering
Habitat offers on site volunteering for women build specific days a few times throughout the year on our active build sites. This is an opportunity to build new skills, gain confidence and give back to your community in a safe and supportive environment. Keep up to date on these opportunities through our newsletter and email list.
