Faith Build
What is Faith Build?
Evergreen Habitat’s Faith Build program brings local faith-based organizations and individuals together to help fund and build affordable homes for families in Clark County. Faith communities of all different backgrounds and varying beliefs have come together over the years to build multiple homes for families, complete many home repairs for low- income families, and provide countless volunteer hours in support of Habitat’s work. Through our Faith Build work, local communities are putting their faith into action by getting involved in Habitat’s mission.
Each year, Habitat’s Faith Build Committee hosts our Faith Partners Lunch. This annual event brings leaders and community members from many faith communities across Clark County to connect, hear about updates on the current state of housing in our area, share exciting updates about the current and future work of Habitat as well as how critical our partnerships with local faith communities are to ensuring more families in Clark County have access to safe, decent, and affordable housing, as well as home repairs.
We have many opportunities for faith communities to connect, support, and volunteer together working toward a world where everyone has a safe, decent place to live. Opportunities to get involved include serving on our Faith Build committee, supporting fundraising efforts to build homes, building and fostering relationships with faith communities’ leadership and members, event support and planning, and working on our Habitat home construction sites through hands-on volunteer days.
