Ting and Seng Raw moved to the United States as refugees in 2013 after fleeing from Burma. They have three beautiful children, Zungyoun (9), Sengpati (7), and Isakzung (5). Ting and Seng Raw became citizens in 2018 and are active members of their church. The family of five were living in a cramped two-bedroom apartment with limited outdoor space for playing.

“Our family is so excited to become Habitat homeowners. Thank you so much to all of the volunteers and donors who made this possible for us,” said Ting.

Habitat welcomed the Mang Shang family into their new home at our 2020 Raising the Roof Virtual Event. The event was live streamed on Facebook and our website where the community could join us as the family received the keys to their new home. We also watched as Ting opened the door for the first time and the family got to tour their newly completed home. While it was challenging not having people in-person to celebrate with us, we are grateful for all who took the time to tune in and welcome the Mang Shang family home.
